Following the successful staging of the play "Mum, Can You Lend Me Twenty Quid" a few years ago, Rebound have responded to several requests - and we are pleased to bring the play back to Portsmouth this November.
The play is a powerful, honest and emotional look at the effects on a family torn apart by addiction and encourages the audience to think about the range of issues which drug and alcohol addiction can affect family, friends and loved ones.
A special performance will be staged for school students and their teachers, which will be followed by workshops and presentations to consider the issues raised.
Thanks to support from the Big Lottery Fund, we are also pleased to stage a performance for the general public, which will be of interest to families, friends, carers, health professionals, advisers and teachers alike.
The performance will be held on Thursday 1st November 2018 at Castle View Academy (the former King Richard School), Allaway Avenue, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth, PO6 4QP. Doors will open at 6:00pm, and the play will start at 6:30pm. The performance will be followed by a short presentation highlighting some of the issues raised, and the evening will close at 8:00pm.
Tickets are FREE, but booking is essential to ensure your place using Eventbrite.
