We can help!
Welcome to Rebound - Baytrees Parents' & Carers' Group

Rebound is a carers’ group running alongside Baytrees, the NHS Detox unit at St James' Hospital, Locksway Road, Portsmouth – for the families and friends of people who are in either the process of being admitted for treatment there or who may be at some future date and those who have attended in the past.
The group is managed by local carers and service users, supported by a professional facilitator and its purpose is to identify and support friends and family members whose loved ones are accessing the services of local drug services.

So often carers misguidingley support their loved one's drug misuse by providing escape/comfort when things get tough. The group provides a support mechanism to enable loved ones to come to terms with the situation they face, offering information and shared experiences to enable them to take control of their own lives, distancing themselves from their loved one's drug misuse and leaving them to take responsibility for their own lives.
The Group meets at Baytrees on Tuesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm and the strictest confidence is assured to anyone attending. Travel expenses are reimbursed, tea/coffee facilities are provided.
If you are caring for someone who might be considering a detox programme either now or in the near future..
